Marriage is not be entered upon lightly or thoughtlessly, but responsibly and reverently. God calls men and women to the married state so that their love may be made holy in life-long union; that they may bring up their children to grow in grace and learn to love him: and that they may honour, help and comfort one another both in prosperity and adversity.

What do Christians believe about marriage?
Christians believe that marriage is a gift from God. In the marriage ceremony, a couple make a public declaration of lifelong commitment to love each other, come what may.

Where can I get married?
Everyone lives in the parish and belongs to the parish church. That’s the church you should contact for more information about getting married.

Can we have a video recording of the service?
A/ You will need to ask permission from the parish priest and there may be a fee. Permission is not required to record the authorised words of the service but bear in mind there may be copyright issues if you're recording a person's performance (eg a professional organist) or using copyright hymns or readings.
