The Parish Communion at St. Leonard’s has up to 100 communicants,
with the congregation including children who attend the Sunday Fun
Club held at the same time but joining the service at the time of
communion. Approximately 30 people attend Sung Matins at St.
Michael’s, which is followed on alternate Sundays by Holy Communion,
with usually about 20 at Holy Cross for Morning Worship, which
alternates with Holy Communion. The USA of 236 includes those
attending the said Holy Communion services at St. Leonard’s and St.
Michael’s as well as Sung Evensong at St. Leonard’s.
The tradition in the parish is central/modern catholic, but we enjoy a
variety across our three churches. Vestments are usually worn and there
is a strong choral element to the worship with two choirs at St.
Leonard’s, with a very new addition of a girls’ choir. There is a further choir at St. Michael’s. We use a range of hymn books.
